Monthly Mentor - The Coffee Shop of Make-Believe

Welcome to the segment I like to call, Sugar For My Coffee!

Here we discover the individuals with whom this author would be most honored to sit across from and enjoy a coffee break. I close all my writings with this entrance into The Coffee Shop of Make-Believe to introduce my readers to another Success Mentor for life empowerment. That person's presence at the table would be Sugar For My Coffee!

He said, "The family will never be stronger than the sacred promise that created it. If the promise is weak, the family will be weakened."

We will meet our guests in a moment!

Isn't that a great truth? In a world where so much of what we say is wishy-washy at best, don't we need to hear more statements like that?

Today's coffee break guests: Dennis & Barbara Rainey

Dennis & Barbara Rainey impact hundreds of thousands of families each year with their radio program and Family Life Marriage Conferences. My wife and I just attended one of their "Weekend To Remember" marriage conferences and were in awe. This one conference will enhance our marriage and family life for many years to come. If one of these conferences comes to your town, put it on your relationship "to do" list.

Dennis & Barbara Rainey have authored way too many family life and living books to list them all here. Here is a short list for you that we recommend.

* Rekindling The Romance
* Creating a More Romantic Marriage
* Building Your Mates Self-Esteem
* Pressure Proof Your Marriage
* Simply Romantic Nights
* Staying Close

This couple and everything they have been able to accomplish at Family Life is the real deal. If you want to really celebrate marriage and family, you've just got to meet Dennis & Barbara Rainey.

Those of you who are familiar with this segment of my work know that you can join us for this coffee break any time you wish. You only have to grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat at the table and get to know our guests. You can get to know Dennis & Barbara Rainey's message and everything they have produced for your relationship empowerment by visiting the following Website on the Internet.

Journey With Jessica My Fathers Day Tribute to my Husband

This segment helps us add a bit of estrogen to the testosterone mix of our newsletter.

Hi everyone! Jessica here!

I wanted to use this ezine to praise my husband and encourage other women to thank their husbands for all the value they add to the home. I have married a man who is one of the all time best dads in the world and even though they get one day a year devoted to them, he's an INCREDIBLE FATHER 364 other days, as well.

I know the common belief is that we women tend to hold all of the cards when it comes to childbirth and raising children. We wax on and on about how long our labor was and the intensity of the pain. Then we talk about the pain of breastfeeding; latching on, latching off, etc.

Now, I know that my husband didn't carry either of our kids for nine months each, but he did massage feet for over 18 months, made numerous runs to fast food restaurants to get milkshakes, endured six excruciating weeks of Lamaze classes with one of the driest teachers you have ever heard and never complained once. Better yet, he endured my endless complaining about swollen feet, mood swings (I don't know why I'm crying) and "on a dime" changes in body temperature.

And it didn't stop with the end of the pregnancy! He's been thrown up on, too. He's changed more than his weight in dirty diapers. He has watched more Wiggles than a mature adult should have to. I bet he even knows the theme song to BLUES CLUES.

He hugs, he kisses and he takes every opportunity to let our kids know that they are our greatest claim to fame. They are growing up knowing they are loved and that their parents adore each other. Isn't that the way it should be? Being wanted for a lifetime of nights sure holds value for the whole family.

Now ladies, thank the man in your life for all that he is to your family. Husbands, I give you permission to print this, cut it out and leave it on her pillow. Come on, you know she would do it to you.

Jessica, signing off! Hope you enjoyed our journey.

Until next time!
