I totally love the movie Practical Magic. In fact, it's one of my favorites.
When I've been through a spell of feeling sorry for myself and am starting to get ready to stop, I usually spend an evening watching some of my favorite all time movies - and this is one of them.
So, my favorite quote in the movie is this:
"Can love really travel back in time and heal a broken heart? Was it our joined hands that finally lifted Maria's curse? I'd like to think so. But there are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can. "
I love the whole quote but the part of that quote that sticks in my mind is the part that says "and fall in love whenever you can".
It's just so true! Love is just too marvelous to give up on after one tragic experience.
Gosh. I think I'm going to watch that movie tonight - just for the hell of it :)
