When it comes to favorite romantic love song lyrics, I just can't overlook this one. Here is a little bit of our story for you to enjoy.
Great proposal songs can really add romance and great memories for couples, and one of the best love songs to propose with is the wonderful song, "That's All."
It was a cool, early Spring day in late March, and I had been thinking about a special dinner and dance date that was coming up.
Because I had taken Ballroom Dance lessons for two years, I knew what type of romantic occasion this date was going to be. It was going to be a six hour dinner and dance with The Glenn Miller Orchestra.
These dances are very romantic occasions, so my plans were to propose to my girlfriend early on in the dance. Having suspicions that she was on to me, though, I purposely waited till later in the night.
This would end up creating a problem for me as the night progressed.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra played brilliantly through several memorable love songs that I could have used, but I wanted to keep her guessing on my intentions for the evening.
The choices for just the right song for proposing were becoming few and far between. The Glenn Miller Orchestra had changed gears and were playing fast songs so everyone could Fox Trot and Swing dance. Jessica was hoping I would ask, but had given up on this being the night after a period of time.
Five-hours and forty-five minutes after the dinner and dance began, the ideal song was finally played and sung. I was regretting that I had allowed so many songs to go by earlier in the evening, but you will see that this, too, was meant to be.
This song was the best one of the night.
When it comes to romantic love song lyrics, this song is perfect lyrics for a marriage proposal, or for simply enjoying a romantic candlelight dinner.
"I can only give you love that last forever, and a promise to be near each time you call. Where the only heart I own, is for you and you alone, That's All! That's All!
I can only give you country walks in Springtime, and a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall. And a love that's burning bright, to warm each winter night, That's All! That's All!
There are those I am sure who have told you, they would give you the world for a toy. All I have are these arms to enfold you, and a love time will never destroy.
If you're wondering what I'm asking in return dear, you'll be glad to know that my demands are small. Say it's me that you'll adore, for now and evermore, That's All! That's All!"
Fifteen-minutes before the dinner and dance was over, we finally hear the perfect romantic love song lyrics for a marriage proposal.
While we danced to the song I asked her and she said yes. After the dance was over, we went to the members of the band and asked to purchase a copy of the song so we could have it for a memory. They didn't have it! Worse, they didn't even know who originally recorded it.
Shattered that we didn't have a momentum of this special night, we drove home without one. Jessica had to drive an extra hour after she left my house to get home, and after she left, I started looking over a Nat King Cole CD that I had received in the mail that very morning.
Guess what song was #17?
You guessed it! "That's All."
I recorded it on her answering machine for her to hear when she arrived home and checked her messages. She called me overwhelmed with emotion. It was perfect!
Here, see for yourself!
