HOT for MARRIAGE in Texas

I am HOT for MARRIAGE because of the foundation for stability and belonging it provides, and for the safe-haven for peace and comfort it gives the human heart.

The pictures shown here are from a recent Valentine's Day celebration our family had. We used the name of each person in the family as an acrostic to show what the years of being together had helped us to know about one another.

I love how these pictures demonstrate the beauty of "belonging" that the human heart experiences when part of a family foundation in a loving marriage.

AWAITING SOMETHING PERMANENT! - This was the title of a story I read in the Houston Chronicle several months back that still speaks volumes to me. It was the story of a little boy who had not found a place to belong. He had been bounced around several Foster Homes that for one reason or another hadn't worked out for him.

His words in the story were piercing as he pleaded, "I'm a good kid!......Come on down and talk to Evan."

This little boy had not found the rest his little heart so longed for and he was crying out for his place to belong, thus the title of the story, "Awaiting Something Permanent."

I am HOT for MARRIAGE because I believe it is the greatest foundation for "Belonging" the human heart can ever experience.

On the cover of the latest issue of TIMES Magazine the question is asked, "Who Needs Marriage?" I think the answer is obvious. I do. You do. We all do - and so does every little boy or girl like Evan who has ever walked the planet.
