I did some research to help get a feel for where we are in our thinking on all this. Besides the obvious pornographic pictures we already know circulate the Internet, here is more of what I found.
The term "Marriage" was searched for at Google just over 200,000 times compared to over 7-million searches for the term "Porn" in the same 30-day period. The term, "lasting relationships" barely even showed up as a search term.
Just a casual glance at relationship e-books online, I found that people are being taught the art of seducing women, how to have multiple sex partners in the next thirty days, and how to have people lining up to go to bed with them, plus all the other stuff listed above.
So many of these resources try to come across as teaching secrets on how to be great lovers, but they really seem to be teaching people how to be great lovers of themselves.
Much of this type marketing material seems to suggest that high-flying, tantalizing, chandelier-swinging sex is the desired end for the God-given gift of sex, and the secret to life and relationship happiness is found in chasing after and mastering it all. I denote a little over-selling and sensationalizing in it all.
